We discuss works of Victorian fiction, including Dracula and Sherlock Holmes. We consider the possible murderous tendencies of Neil Gaiman & George R.R. Martin. And Paul has heaps of exciting news about new projects he is working on.

BristolCon Fringe: March 2015 - Paul Cornell
Monday Apr 27, 2015
Monday Apr 27, 2015
Our second reader for March was a very special guest, Mr. Paul Cornell. Paul is a man of many talents having written for television (Doctor Who) and comics (Captain Britain, Demon Knights, etc.) in addition to prose fiction. For Fringe he gave us an exclusive extract from the new Shadow Police novel, which won't be available in the shops until the end of the year. Paul reveals the title of the book during the reading, and when you hear whose murder his heroes will be investigating we are pretty sure you'll want to read the whole thing.

Our first reader for March is Chris Cutting. He is, as Jo Hall says in her introduction, Very Theatrical. There may not be anything fantastical in his story, but there is a definite element of horror to it, and perhaps a little steampunk.

BristolCon Fringe: February 2015 - Stark Holborn
Wednesday Apr 01, 2015
Wednesday Apr 01, 2015
Our second reader for February was Bristol's own piece of the wild, wild west, Stark Holborn. Stark read a deleted scene from Nunslinger. The reading was abetted by a couple of varmints chosen from the audience, but sadly their failed to come to the microphone to speak their parts so he sound quality of those bits is somewhat lacking.
