This is the second reading from the January 2014 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features Lou Morgan who reads her story, "Her Heartbeat, An Echo", from the Jurassic Book of the Dead anthology. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Lou Morgan lives in Bath with her husband and son (and the obligatory
writer’s cat). Her short fiction has appeared in anthologies from PS
Publishing, Solaris Books and Jurassic London – most recently, in
Jurassic’s Egyptian mummy anthology, “The Book of the Dead”. Her first
novel, “Blood and Feathers”, was published by Solaris Books in 2012 and
was nominated for two British Fantasy Awards, being shortlisted in both
the “Best Newcomer” and “Best Fantasy Novel” categories. The sequel,
“Blood and Feathers: Rebellion” followed in the summer of 2013.

This is the first reading from the January 2014 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features German writer, Désirée Fischer. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Désirée Fischer is working for a well known Cult and Entertainment store
by day and leading a not so very secret life as a writer by night. She
grew up in Germany but always wanted to move to England, so she packed
her suitcase as soon as she finished university and has never looked
back.

This is the second reading from the November 2013 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features Joanne Hall who treated us to the first ever reading from her forthcoming novel, The Art of Forgetting: Nomad. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Joanne Hall is the Chair of BristolCon. She has published four novels and one collection of short fiction, and has stories in many anthologies. She has also edited anthologies. The Art of Forgetting series is published by Kristell Ink. Nomad is the sequel to the first volume, Rider.

This is the first reading from the December 2013 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features flash fiction expert, Kevlin Henney. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Kevlin is the organizer of Bristol's annual contribution to National Flash Fiction Day. His work has been published in a variety of venues, including New Scientist. The stories that he reads are "Remembrance of Things Past" (originally published at The Fabulist) and "Ashes to Ashes" (originally published by Kazka Press). Kevlin returns with a third story in the third reading.

This is the second reading from the November 2013 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features Jonathan L. Howard. Jonathan reads two stories. The first, "Cowboy Kim", was written specially for the event. It is based in part on the song, "Big Mess" by Devo. Quotations from the song are used with kind permission of the band. The second reading is the prologue of the forthcoming 4th novel about Johannes Cabal. The podcast also includes a brief Q&A session with both Jonathan and Ian Millsted. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Jonathan L. Howard is an
author, scriptwriter, and game designer. He is best know for the
Johannes Cabal series, and for the YA SF Russalka Chronicles. He lives
near Bristol with his wife and daughter.

This is the first reading from the November 2013 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features Ian Millsted, who reads his story, "The Traveller's Apprentice", from the forthcoming anthology, Airship Shaped & Bristol Fashion. The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
Ian Millsted migrated from Essex to Bristol via Norwich. He currently
teaches in Bath. He has had a few short stories published in various
places, and was short listed for the Bristol Short Story Prize a few
years back. He also writes about comics for Back Issue magazine. Mostly he is just trying to do more in less time.

This is the second reading from the September 2013 BristolCon Fringe
reading. It features Tim Maughan, who reads from part of his story, "Limited Edition", and the whole of "Zero Hours". The event is hosted by Cheryl Morgan.
After spending most of his life putting it off, Bristol based author Tim Maughan finally started writing science fiction back in the heady days of 2008. In 2011 he released the critically acclaimed Paintwork,
a collection of three short stories dealing with the roles of art,
celebrity and globalisation in a very near, and strangely familiar,
future. His story “Limited Edition” (published in New Scientist‘s Arc
magazine) was shortlisted for the British Science Fiction Association
2012 short fiction award, and he was recently included in SFX magazine’s ‘Hot 50′ for 2013.
