BristolCon Fringe: April 2015 - Open Mic Part III

May 26th, 2015 · Comments

The April Fringe meeting was an open mic event at which anyone was welcome to come along and read, for just five minutes each. In the first batch of readers were:

  • Justin Newland - "The Fool of Abbots Leigh"
  • Cheryl Morgan - extract from "Gunpowder, Treason & Plot"
  • Thomas David Parker - the rest of "The Shell"
  • Cord Frazer - "Tutti Fruiti the Nightmare" (which he translated from Polish on the night)

There was no Q&A session as we had so many lovely readers.

During this section we also have a brief interlude in which we are streaming live to Poland.

The April Fringe meeting was an open mic event at which anyone was welcome to come along and read, for just five minutes each. In the first batch of readers were:

  • Pete Sutton - who managed 5 stories in his 5 minutes ("Overdue Book", "Werewolves are Hairy", "Rumbled", "Zoophilia" and "The Memory of Light")
  • Dan Pawley - "Worlds Together" (published in Jupiter #41)
  • Joanne Hall - extract from "Arrested Development" (unpublished)
  • Philip Purser-Hallard - trailer for The Locksley Exploit

The MC is Cheryl Morgan, and the ticking strawberry of doom was provided by Heather.
